Imagine a world where artists are paid what they deserve. In 2001, there was the iTunes music store, and a decade later, Spotify. Soon, with cryptocurrencies such as Musicoin, bands can bypass the usual intermediaries by receiving micro-payments from fans who can purchase their music directly whilst being able to remove record companies from the picture altogether.
Collaborating with Monash University's School of Journalism and MOJO News, 'Blockchain & the Bands' explores this new digital revolution with local Melbourne band, Manorism.
